My Dream Home

As long as I remember, cabins and mountains are my favorite things in life. A designing game gave me the opportunity to design a mountain lodge in Whistler_Canada. So I put my heart into every room, thinking before adding any item to it “would I like it in my home?” And the result was satisfying and a picture of my future home.

Reviews of Trollope’s Anthology and other books

Her too perfect boss by Cami Checketts ⭐️⭐️

Very typical romance and really predictable, like a Harlequin novel minus the sexual scenes, I didn’t like the ending either. But it’s better than another book I’ve read by the same author, and it’s a clean novella, for which I am grateful.

Emma the matchmaker by Rachel John ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sweet light read inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma, with some creative differences that didn’t hurt the original plot. I liked the writing style but I was disappointed with the insignificant cause for the fight between Emma and George.

Not the Bodyguard’s Baby by Lorin Grace ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a lot more than a simple romance story, it’s a book about motherhood, friendship and trust. I liked the plot, even though the book felt like a sequel to another I need to read. The characters are well written and the pace of the story is not slow or boring, and I especially liked the moving back and forth between the two main characters’ POVs. I recommend this book and I would love to read the other books in the series.

A lass for the billionaire by Donna K. Weaver ⭐️⭐️⭐️

While the plot is a good one and the story with its characters are nicely written, the romance fell short. I liked the numerous facts about health, history, Scotland’s sights and history…among other things. All in all it’s an okay read.

A Suave billionaire’s secret life by Kristen Iten ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautifully written sweet romance with some depth mixed with the right amount of humor. I like how it was clean but really romantic at the same time, these books are so rare these days.

The last chronicle of Barssete by Anthony Trollope ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s the conclusion of the series so you will find all the main characters from every book in it, and to enjoy it you have to go through all of the previous books. This book was different yet not very different from the previous books in the series. I actually enjoyed it because the usual descriptions of places and characters’ backgrounds are as plentiful as usual not here, (spoiler) and the usual happy ending of each romance in the series was broken by a different ending to one story. All in all, Trollope’s writing style has a way of growing on you, it may seem boring at times but when the ending finally comes you feel the usual satisfaction after reading a good book. I listened to the book read by a very good solo narrator on Librivox.

Unrelenting Love By Jack Gunthridge ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a surprise read! I can’t say it’s a book, it’s more like a beautiful letter from a father to his child. I really liked how passionate it was written thinking the author must be a father but after some research it turned out that he’s not! It might be controversial but for me I had to agree with the author’s point of view.

What I Want A Companion Novel to the Chop, Chop Series By L.N. Cronk ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked the plot, not a typical romance. The writing style is very enjoyable to read and the journey of Marco was very eventful. The romance was sweet and unpredictable, but I didn’t like the religious tone in the book, so I had to skip these parts.

The small house at Allington by Anthony Trollope ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have to say that I did enjoy this one, even though the romance was very disappointing and immature, it was funny and interesting enough. I’m looking forward for the last installment of this series and hopefully there will be more romance and a happy ending.

Farmly parsonage by Anthony Trollope ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another story, new characters and a somewhat different and interesting approach to the romance plot from the previous books in this series. I liked the plot and the characters and bringing back some of them from the previous book, especially Dr. Thorne.

The family journal by Carolyn Brown ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sweet funny and eye opening story of a family and its journey towards a new better life. I’m glad I finally found a clean book by this author. I liked the writing style, the plot was not typical or boring and characters were very well written.
